πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Š πŸ—»πŸ― SAYONARA, KIDS !!! GOODBYE, KIDS!! πŸ―πŸ—»πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Š

Hey Kids!

Well, it's been four years this week, since we started this blog. We had a lot of fun at first, but circumstances created a lot of drama and eventually turned a hobby into a chore.

Trying to protect someone's image, running interference and attempting damage control was a full time job and took it's toll on our personal life and all for nothing, because it appears that the cat has let itself out of the bag and we wasted time, energy, and endured a lot of wrath, abuse and hatred for someone who wasn't worth it. That's a hard pill to swallow.

My Tess who has suffered the most from her loyalty and helpfulness to me, handed me her resignation in Florida. I refused to accept it. So she gave me an ultimatum. Cut ties with that person for good, retire, give up the internet, and move to Japan with her. If I didn't she would go without me.  It wasn't a hard decision.

Our first contractor got a little carried away with the job.

Tess found her dream home in Japan, we listed the NY house, received an offer, closed the deal and moved back here to pack. The Japan house is ready and waiting. There were a couple of roadblocks to moving, but we received a lot of help from our amazing realtors, contractors and lawyer in Japan. A BIG arigato gazaimasu to everyone! Our passports are in order, our crates were picked up, our luggage is packed and we're ready to go.

We decided to sell the house furnished because the house we bought came with built in wardrobes, china closet, bookshelves and tables. I wasn't in love with my furniture, but I am in love with my Tess, so that was an easy decision too. Tess and Lily will have fun picking out futons, a kotatsu, appliances, etc. and I have been promised a brand new, state of the art, reclyning massager and a big screen tv (and a bed if I want one)  Yippee 😁!!! (See, it pays to be agreeable).

Our parents have been great and I'm sure that they'll be visiting us as soon as they're able, along with Miss Bell. But for now, it will be just us and Lily and that's fine and dandy.

My horse has joined the herd in Louisiana, he arrived safely and has already found a lady love in Tess' favorite mareπŸ΄πŸ¦„ and RoverπŸ• has been adopted by our housesitter. Her dog and ours have spent a lot of time together and they're bonded and when I thought about separating them and taking a 10 year old dog on a long plane ride to another country, it just didn't seem right. I asked our housesitters what they would do and they said they've been trying to get up the courage to ask if they could have him! It's providence😁.

My only regret is that we didn't do this five (or ten) years ago.

This will be our last post. The internet has it's advantages, but it has more disadvantages. IMDb.com was smart when it shut down it's forums, YouTube should do the same. Facebook doesn't serve any real purpose and Twitter and Instagram are pointless. The internet should be for research and information and online shopping.

Our real estate agent showed us this penthouse in Tokyo, but it had a huge moth problem, so we passed.

A lot of people are blaming Covid-19 for the anger on the internet, but as someone who has been experiencing anger on the internet since 2009, I can tell you, it was always there, it's just increased.

So what will we be doing in Japan?

Tess and Lily are planning to visit some of the orphanages and volunteer and they can't wait to go to the Daiso store and see a Japanese version of a Broadway show. We'd also like to visit a racecourse and a training stable.

Then he showed us some farms, but this one lacked privacy, so it was a big no from us.

A field came with the house, so we'll be spending some of our days hoeing and weeding and planting a vegetable and herb garden  and plenty of sweet peas and because Tess will only fry chickens and I'm afraid of geese😞, we are compromising on raising some ducks for eggs and Shitake mushrooms. My evenings will be spent soaking my aching muscles in our new cedar tub and eating what we grow, prepared by my beloved Tess. We're by the ocean, so we'll probably be eating a lot of fish. Sounds good. We're all looking forward to it.

We want to thank our readers for the past four years and to say "welcome" to our future visitors. We'll leave everything up, but there won't be any new posts. Before, I sign out, I'd like to leave you with a few words of wisdom.

Whenever you're faced with making a decision, always follow your heart πŸ’•, it knows the way.

It sure does.πŸ˜˜πŸ˜‰πŸ‘‹

Take care, Kids and Sayonara.
